Unearthly Review

Unearthly
Author: Cynthia Hand
Release Date: January 4,2011

Rating 3/5

Opinion:

I wasn't very impressed by this book it took forever for the book to really start. One good thing about the book was the plot in my it was original but it was kind of hard to keep along with the characters and when I finished the book I was lost. I look forward to reading the next book just to answer some questions that weren't answered in the first book and maybe the next book is less confusing.

Summary

Unearthly is about 17 year old Clara who finally found her purpose on Earth, but as you read through the story the answer may not be clear. In the beginning of the book she shes Christian in her dreams and she thinks that he's her destiny and the one shes suppose to be with but its not as easy as she thinks. She has to move all the way from California to Wyoming and if that doesn't Complicate things more Christian has a girl friend. As the story progresses she learns that Christian may not be the one for her that maybe her best friends brother Tucker is the one. Boy problems isn't the only thing Clara needs to be concern because there maybe more to being a angel then Clara . The book really doesn't answer much it leaves the reading guessing and the end was pretty much a cliffhanger.

Best books released in 2010

#8 Spirit Bound
By: Richele Mead

I've been a big fan of Rich
ele Mead since the beginning and the 5th book in the Vampire academy did not disappoint.
In my opinion it the best YA vampire series out there.

#7 Silver Borne
By: Patricia Brigg

I think the biggest mistake I made was reading the Alpha& Omega series before reading the Mercy Thompson series ,
because I had a hard time reading the first four Mercy''s Thompson books. This book just WOW we saw a side of Mercy and adam that I hadn't seen before.

#6 The Body Finder
By Kimberly Derting

I'm not usually into suspense serial killer type of books but this book changed my mind about what I thought suspense books where and I could not put down the book the whole time I was reading it. The Body Finder was the best Debut YA novel this year!!! FOR SURE...

#5
No Mercy
By: Sherrilyn Kenyon

First off I want to start out by saying this is the fir
st novel I've read from the Dark-Hunter series, but I don't care because I've loved this book!!!!! Sam was totally badass kicking heroine and Dev was sexy and funny!!! soo whats not to love.

#4
First Drop of Crimson
By: Jeaniene frost
Nice.......
Loved Denise and Spade they made such a awesome couple.
i'm also happy to see Denise and Spade happy after what they went through.

#3
The Darkest Passion.
By: Gena Showalter

The first time I read one of Gena's books I know I was hooked but as I kept reading the LOTU series I fell more in love with the characters a
Aeron's story was one of my favorite because we got to see who he was and we also got to see a little in side Williams mind.

#2
TheDarkest Lie
By: Gena Showalter

I had a very hard time choosing
which book was my number 1 pick and the only reason I did not pick the Darkest lie was because I did not like that Hadiee aka Ex (murdering bitch) appeared in the story. I guess I'll read more about her in Amun's story.

#1
Magic Bleeds
By: Ilona Andrews

OMG I love Kate and curran there so funny they remind me of cat and Bones but a more complicated and funnier version. I also love Kate because she just says and does the stupidest things and I love the way she ends up fixing things. I swear each book keeps getting better and better. I don't know if i can wait until May to read the fifth installment.

Angelfire Review

Angelfire
Author: Courtney Allison Moulton
Release Date: February 15, 2011

Rating: 3.5/5 Stars

I was very exited when I got Angelfire in the mail. I
could not wait to read it. Once I got the book I found it kind of hard to pick up the storyline which is of a girl name Ellie she's some kind of special human who reincarnates every time she dies ,and when she turns seventeen she becomes the Preliator which means warrior in Latin. She's the only one who can kill Grims with Angelfire. The Grims are huge demonic dogs who kill humans and take them to hell and Ellie mission in life is to kill as many as possible before they kill her. There's also Will who has been her guardian for the past 500 years and through out the whole book sparks fly between Will and Ellie. To find out what happens next you have to wait to read it but FYI during the second half of the book it gets real good and that's when you start to find out who Ellie really is and OMG you will totally fall in Love with Will !!!

The Iron Queen Review

Iron Queen
Author: Julie Kagawa
Releas Date: February 1, 2011

Rating
Golden Star

I was so happy when I got the book gah..... When I read Iron Queen it was everything I thought it would be and more. Now i'm not going to give much away in my review but all I want you to know is to prepare yourself for the ending because I was shocked and even cried alittle.
Iron Queen the third book in the Iron Fey series. The book starts out with Meghan a
nd Ash thinking that finally everything is over and they can finally be together, and live a normal life but they soon discover that they can't go on with there lifes until they defeat the False King. To defeat the False King Meghan has to go back to Nevernever, and with the help of Ash and Puck she hopes to defeat the False King and regain Nevernever back before its to late. I'm not going to say much more right now because it would be spoilers but you've got to read Iron Queen the best by far in the Iron Fey series. Don't worry I'll post my opinion on the book later when its close to the release date.

Once a Witch Review

Once a Witch
Author : Carolyn MacCullough
Release Date : September 14, 2009

Rating
4/5 Stars

I got this book for Christmas last year along with Beautiful creatures, and I really thought BC was one of the most boring books I've ever read. Since both books hav
e to do with witches and what not I thought that Once a witch was another boring version of beautiful creatures so I decided not to read it. I got the opportunity to review the second book so I decided I had to read the first book to understand what the second book was about. To my surprise I thought this book was written better the BC, because it was
n't as long and boring. I don't want to compare Once a Witch to BC the plots are totally different, and the only thing they have in common is that there both about Witches. Anyways it starts out Tam a 17 years old witch who doesn't know she has powers and feels like she doesn't fit in and through out the whole story along side Gabriel who is her long time best friends, finds out who she truly is and what she's capable of. In my opinion the best part of he story was that the book wasn't really focusing on Tam and her relationship with Gabriel,
it was mostly about Tam trying to solve her problems and finding out who she was. I think most books focus mostly on the romantic side of the story then on the real issue, and it was refreshing to read something new. I think the only issue I had with the book was that Tam was a drinker and a smoker. Especially if she's only 17 and her parents knew she drank and smoked but did nothing about it. No offense to the author but what kind of message is that putting out to
teenagers that it's okay to drink and smoke at age 17? I don't think so I know if I my parents found out I was drinking and smoking at 17 they would flip out. Other then that issue the book was a Great book, and I would have given the book Five Stars, but again I don't think it was appropriate for the author to write the character as a smoker and a drinker.

Misguided Angel Review

Misguided Angel
Author: Melissa De La Cruz
Release Date: October 26,2010

Rating 4/5

I was not planning on reading the fifth installment of the Blue Bloods series. The last two book where a big disappointment and I had about given up on reading the series, but I was lucky enough to win it from Paranormal Haven Halloween's Bash and I'm glad I read Misguided Angel because the book was a big improvement from the rambling mess the last two books had been. What I liked most about the book was how it was broken down into three view points Schuyler's, Mimi's, and a new character Deming.
I won't spoil much but I liked how each of the three characters got there own section and how in the end of each section it left you guessing and waiting for the next book. I think I enjoyed Mimi's side of the story better then I enjoyed Schuyler's because I felt that her story ended in the the fourth book and by adding her point of view it's just dragging Schuyler's story on. In the book we also get to see a side of Mimi that was never seen before it showed a less shallow version of Mimi then the one we where used to reading, even though I don't like her, I've gotten to understand her a little more and now I kinda feel sorry for her. I think it's karma that's coming back to her for always being such a bitch and treating everyone like inferiors. Now she is getting what she deserves to wallow in self misery for a while, but I do hope she and Kingsley have a happy ending because I really liked Kingsley from the previous book he has a charm that no other character has ( not even jack). P.S the ending of Mimi's story is not a happy ending it makes me feel even more sorry for her. Like I said before we get to meet a new character Deming a Venator who is the Angel of Mercy and highly attuned to peoples emotions. She comes into the story as a Venator trying to solve Victoria case and tries to find out who is the person responsible for her death.
The only thing I wish could have been different was if the book was longer. The story would have unfolded and been much more interesting if Schuyler's part would have had more action or more intriguing. I don't think 80 pages or so where enough to cover each characters point of view. If the book would have been 100 pages longer, the story would have been much better. Over all I liked it and for those who liked the first two book's and lost interest after that I recommended you read Misguided Angel because I guaranty this book will make you want to pick up The blue bloods series.

Here's the list of the complete series in order.

Review Born To Bite

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
I enjoyed this book. Though I didn't find it as exiting as the other books I really liked it but I wish it would have been more in Armand point of view then on Eshe's but I liked the ending that Armand finally met Jeanne Louise for the first time I can;t wait for Jeanne Louise book she sounds like a great character. Though at the end I thought that John who was the only killer but in the end it was both him and his sister who killed Armand's wife's. I sad Agnes confessed she killed susan and Althea because I really liked Agnes and I thought she deserved a happy ending even though she was a killer but she had her reasons.

Review Veil of Midnight

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
Loved this book I think its been the best yet. Renata character has been my favorite yet also she is such a strong women and I think out of all the breedmates her power is the coolest she could shock a vampire where he stands and kill him thats awesome.Niko oh I love his character his character is charming and dangerous and funny and sexy all at the same time. Mira I love that little girl but her ability must suck to be able to predict the future. Though there where scenes where i wanted to cry like when poor Andrea walked into the Darkhaven and saw all his family slaughter god I just wanted to cry. Also Hunter I can't wait to read about him even though the book had little about him I'm intrigued.

Review Midnight Rising

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
Okay book I dislike the slower pace and I didn't feel any connection with characters or more like I didn't feel a connection with Dylan she seemed kind of plain and quite . I also disliked the lack of major action other then in the end there wasn't really much going on with the Rogues or Drago. A part a really enjoyed was that Tess is pregnant i thought that was awesome i would have hoped Gabriela was pregnant but maybe in the near future. I also liked that Rio finally has someone after what happen with that treacherous bitch of Eva though I would have hoped Rio story to be better at least he got a happy ending or happy beginning.

Review The Darkest Lie

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
I love lies lol. Awesome book I think it's the best yet though I would have loved to hear more from William. I was shocked when Scarlet told Gideon they where married and even more when she told him they had a child and he died. I cried through out the whole chapter but I as glad when I learned that scarlet aunt goddess of memory made Scarlet believe she was married and had a child with Gideon and it was so funny in the end when Gideon and cornus sat eating popcorn while watching the death match between Scar and her aunt lol. One scene I totally hated was when Strider met that hunter the same hunter that killed Baden all those years ago Hadiee grrrr. Gena I hope Hadiee better not be Strider true love because if she is that would be a big no no since like everyone Hates her and hello she killed one of the lords. Also poor William I think he really like's Gilly like alot he's willing to go kill her parent's for her even though Anya told him she was going to burn his book. I think Gilly is the women or girl that was spoken in the prophesy because isn't William suppose to be selfish and not care about anyone more then himself and obviously he cares more about Gilly them himself if he's willing to let his book burn. Well can't wait for Amun book poor Amun he sounded so tormented in the end of darkest lie I hope he ends up with a Angel who could sooth or make the voices disappear.

Review The Darkest Passion

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
Great book though Aeron was getting in my nerves in a few scenes especially when he was with Olivia he totally left her high and dry thats just a big no no. Also Legion that little which bargained with the devil and almost set him free but thanks to the Angel Sexy Lysander that didn't happen instead Aeron got his head chopped off but not to worry Olivia such sweet angel brought him back and the best thing of all was that Aeron isnt the keeper of wrath no more and he could finally be happy. Also Ashlyn is having twins a girl and a boy I'm so HAPPYYYYY...I wonder when shes going to have them shes been preganat through out 4 books. Also OMG I hope Aeron finds a way to get Baden back since he talked to him when he died and Baden told him or more like Pandora told him that the only way to bring them back is to get the box so I really hope they get the box back because Baden deserves a happy ending.

Review The Darkest whisper

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
Wow loved the book had great shocker's. First of all Torin and cameo hooking up never saw that coming especially since Torin is the keeper of disease and cant touch cameo keeper of misery thats like 2 no no put together, but in the end it seemed that they where just lonely and wanted a friend with benefits. Also total shocker Sabins enemy (Galen) fathered the women he loves I was shocked especially since Gwen seemed to be more of an angel then a asshole like her father. All in all I loved the book and it seemed like Amun was interested in one of the Harpies I guess only time will tell.I can't wait till Ashlyn has her baby I wonder what kind of abilities the baby will have. Last but not least Paris I can't stand seeing him suffer he deserves a happy ending from all of his friends he did sacrifice Siennna for his friend's. I just hope he could get over Sienna and that she doesn't come back she doesn't deserve Paris he's to hot and nice for her

Review The Darkest Pleasure

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
Great book. I love Reyes I think he's the sweetest and kindest of the Lords. Thats kind of funny because he is the keeper of pain LOL. I almost cried in the end when Danika disappeared I thought she had actually died poor Reyes but then Reyes found out that cronus had taken her and had her locked up. I don't know if to hate cronus or like him he seems to do bad things to the lord's but then he helps them out like how he helped out Anya and then he helped Reye's so the verdict still out for him but the only thing i know for sure is that Galen Keeper of hope has to DIE! like yesterday. Ohhhh... I wish the book had more about William. I can't wait for his book even though he is not a lord he's still damn Sexy!

Maddox Sexy Eye Candy

Review The Darkest Kiss

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
OHHHHHHHHHH how I love Anya she's my new favorite Heroine she's so funny and I swear she actually made me LOL.She and Lucian aka Flowers had me worried at the end I though Anya was truly going to forget about him ,but some how the cage of compulsion made her remember her time with Lucian. Also OMG I still can't believe My Paris fell for that Sienna she sounded so plain and ugly and the worst part is that she was a hunter. I hope he gets better because I can't live with Paris being in pain much longer I hope Gena comes up with a better heroine (cough cough) preferably if her name is Elizabeth :)I was also so happy to find out Ashlyn and Maddox are having a baby I wonder what it will be hopefully its a girl I could just picture how protective Maddox will be when she grows up I bet he won't let any guy look at her LOL.So all in all great book highly recommended

Review Iron Daughter

My rating: 5 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
Loved this book Ash actually showed a part of himself that in the first book wasn't really there. He showed his vulnerable part, and i think it was sweet how he tried to protect Meagan even though they where enemy. I love Meagan's character she both tough/sweet. The only complain I have is the ending how both Ash and Meagan where banished from fairyland.I can't wait for Iron Queen I bet I know who's going to be the queen.

Review Dead In The Family

My rating: 3 of 5 stars

Spoiler Don't Read If You Haven't Read the Book
It was an okay book I didn;t quite enjoy it as I enjoyed the other books some how it seemed the book lacked personality. To me it seemed that Sookie was just tired and depressed I hope the next book is the final book because I think the reason the book lacked character is because the series has been dragged on to much. I liked the ending though how now Sookie has a man who loves her and, has a uncle and cousins who love her also.

Wonderful book Tegan was a jackass through out the whole book but as I read I began to understand Tegan and why he was acting like a asshole. I'm also glad Elise found someone because it was so sad how she lost her son but I was so happy to see in the end that Tegan told her he loved her and wanted to be with her forever.Great book can't wait to read Rio's story
