[Review] The Last Echo: Author Kimberly Derting

The Last Echo
A Body Finder Novel 3
Author
Kimberly Derting
Rating
3/5

In the third installment of The Body Finder series we see Violet finally come out of her shelf and embarrass her ability.
Thank's to Sarah a FBI agent and Rafe a kid who saved her life and who happens to also have a special ability (sees events that may happen).
So after almost being killed and being saved by Sarah and Rafe,Violet has chosen to joined Sarah and the other kids who have special abilities.
At first Violet is hesitant to let Sarah and the other kids in because she is not use to talking about her ability to sense the dead but after learning more about them Violet feels like she's finally fitting in and for the first time in her life she doesn't feel like a freak.
On her first assignment Violet has to help find " The Girlfriend Collector" a serial killer who is killing young women by strangling them and then leaving them in refrigerators.
Now Violet and her new friends have to find who is " The Girl Friend Collect"because if they don't, Violet may just become one of his victims.

I love The first book in the series it was one of the best books I've ever read. I love how Violet and Jay interact and they just seem like the perfect couple without being to perfect and annoying, but this book was a disappointment. I think if I hadn't loved the first book to much I would have given this book 4 stars but since I love the first book so much I gave it 3 stars because this book is not even close to being as good as the first book. First of all there was hardly any Jay and Violet. It seem to me like the author just added Jay as a after thought and when Jay and Violet got together in the book it seemed like there relationship was being forced. I also hated the last 30 pages it seemed like Kimberly rapped up the book to fast and I wish she would have given more detail, because the ending was kinda blah.
But the one thing I loved about this book was how the author added the serial killer point of view ever few chapters because it helped me understand more the killers motive and I actually felt kinda sorry for him in the end. But anyways the book was good not great but good.
I really recommend this book if you love thrillers and kick ass heroines.

[Review]Cinder: Author Marissa Meyer

Cinder
Author
Marissa Meyer
Rating: 5/5

This book is so awesome it's a twist to my favorite princess story "Cinderella" and the way Marissa tells it is so much better than the original tale.

Cinder,is not your typical girl and not only because she is mechanic but because 37% of her body is made out of metal which makes her a Cyborg. Which make her a second-class citizen in Commonwealth, and Cinder is tired of being treat like dirt by everyone including her family or specifically step-mom and step-sister Pearl and the only human friend she has is her younger step sister Peony. But all that changes when Peony contracts the fatal virus that has been plaguing the world and Cinder is thrown into a world she never thought was out there.

That includes meeting Kai Prince of Commonwealth who needs Cinder to fix something of great importance to him that might just save him from a worst fate than death 9marrying Lunar Queen). But as Cinder gets to know Kai she starts falling for him because he has been nothing but kind to her but she knows that if he find out she's a cyborg he will be disgusted with her. So when Kai ask Cinder to go to the ball with him Cinder declines because she doesn't want Kai to know she's a cyborg and she knows that if she goes to the ball her step-mom tell Kai the truth. So Cinder chooses to give up on her fantasy of being with Kai and chooses to runaway. But right when she's about to leave she finds out that the Evil Queen of Lunar is planning to kill Kai the new Emperor of Commonwealth so Cinder has to put on her big girl panies and save Kai and the entire population before it's to late .

I can't believe I did not want to read this book. When I first saw The book cover I ready to totally over looked the book because of the cover, I thought ugh... what a ugly cover but when I read the description I was totally hooked. Trust me the book did not disappoint it was a new version to Cinderella and in my opinion a more exiting version (sorry Disney).
I can't wait to red the second book in the series the ending left me wanting for more.

[Review]Under a Vampire Moon: Author Lynsay Sands

Under a Vampire Moon
Book 16 Argeneau Series
Author: Lynsay Sands
Rating: 2/5

Disappointing :(

Carolyn is finally ready to move on after being in a bitter battle with her soon to be ex-husband for over two years Carolyn is finally ready to let lose with her friends in Island of St. Lucia.
But when she gets there is seems to depress her even more around every corner there is a newly wed couple or a couple in love and all Carolyn wants to do now is get drunk with her friends. But as it happens Carolyn can't even get drunk with her friends because one is sick and the other one is busy trying to book a band. Thats when she meets Margaret and Julius a happy couple who just happen to know a band who would love to play at the resort. When they arrive Christian is surprised to see that Carolyn is his life-mate but it won't be easy for him to convince her to give him a chance, since Christian looks around 25 and Carolyn is 40 and she refuses to fall for someone who looks younger than her, so now Christian has to convince her to give him chance or he might just lose his life- mate.

I'm a huge fan of the Argeneau series, the books are all fun and quirky and make for a fun quick read but this book was just so off I almost didn't finish it. First of all I was so mad at the end of the book because I've been waiting for Christians book ever since I found out he was Margaret and Julians son. The book also sucked because Christian and Carolyn had no chemistry and the book was sooo... plotless there was no paranormal aspect to the book I think they mention the nano's and Christian being a vampire once or twice but it was by far not a big part of the book and the ending was so blah... It left me wondering what's going to happen between Christian and Carolyn and when is she going to turn into a vampire? What are they planning to do with Carolyn ex-husband? Where are they going to live? There was a bunch of unanswered questions that I just plain hate this book and wish I would have skipped it. By far worst book in series if your a fan of the series I advice you to skip this book.

Rene has just moved to Maine after losing her parents and being forced to live with her grandfather. Who she hadn't seen in over 9 years and is forcing her to go to Gottfried Academy. On her first day of school Renee meets Dante a boy who she has an unexpected connection to and she also finds him, extremely beautiful in another world kinda way. Plus Renee also discovers that Dante found a boy dead in the woods who suddenly died of a heart attack just like her parents. Is it a coincidence or did someone murder her parents and the boy? Renee has to uncover the truth or she might just be the next victim and along the way she will learn things about Dante that will make her question everything.

Book was soooooo longggggg...
Took forever for the book to finally get good. I was over 3/4 of the way done before I finally got what the book was about and the ending was not that impressive. It's like what are Renee and Dante going to with the whole soul sharing thing. are they going to have some kind of plan like who gets it what month? Kinda dumb if you ask me and the ending also didn't leave me wanting for more or very exited it left me annoyed.

[Netgalley Review] The Immortal Rules Author Julie Kagawa

The Immortal Rules
Blood of Eden Book 1
Author
Julie Kagawa
Review
4/5

Allison Sekemoto was born in the Fringe the lowest of the lowest humans most think of them as animals and vampire food. Allison has survived 16 years of scavenging and stealing food but her luck comes to a end when she is attacked by the feral vampires. She is then given a choice by Kanin a vampire to either die as a lowly human or turn into what she hates the most . Allison chooses to become vampire but promises to be good and try to not kill humans but Allison will find out thats it's not as easy to be good as it is to be bad. Along her journey to try to escape the Fringe Allison meets Zeke and soon joins his group to try to find Eden a place where there is no vampires. Soon Alison find herself falling for Zeke but she knows it will never happen because she a vampire and Zeke hates vampire and Allison knows that if he finds out she's a vampire Zeke will hate her and try to kill her.

I'm not a big fan of Dysopian novel I find them to complicated and to much death but I actually liked
"The Immortal Rules" I guess it's because Julie can write no bad novels all her books are amazing.
The book was awesome I only wish the book would have been longer and the beginning shorter ( to long and boring)

April 1, 2012

Book description:
In the icy, monster-plagued world of the Frost, one wrong move and a person might end up dead—and Lia Weaver knows this better than anyone. After monsters kill her parents, she must keep the family farm running despite the freezing weather and threat of monster attacks, or risk losing her siblings to reassignment by the village Elders. With dangers on all sides and treachery just one wrong step away, she can’t afford to let her emotions lead her astray. So when her sister finds a fugitive bleeding to death in the forest, a young man from beyond the Frost named Gabe, Lia surprises herself and does the unthinkable.

She saves his life.
Giving shelter to the fugitive could get her in serious trouble. The Elders have always described the advanced society of people beyond the Frost, the “Farthers,” as ruthless and cruel, and her village has nothing to do with them. But Lia is startled to find that Gabe is empathetic and intelligent…and handsome. She might even be falling in love with him.
But time is running out. The monsters from the forest circle her farm at night. The village leader is starting to ask questions. Farther soldiers are searching for Gabe. Lia must locate a secret organization called the Thorns to help Gabe escape to safety, but each move she makes puts her in greater danger. Is compassion—and love—worth the risk?
